Mcfil presents particle meter for environmental control

Mcfil Tecnologia de Filtragens presents real-time reading sensors of particulate monitoring on all sleeve filters in Metalurgia 2010. The sensors are compact, combining advanced signal processing with electrodynamic technology. The probe installed in the filter’s chimney captures the electrostatic charge of the particles that goes by it, is not affected by speed variation or dust accumulation, and is suitable for harsh environments. Providing monitoring capability for measuring low levels, from 0.01 mg/m3 it can be used to manage the sleeve filter, since it detects leaks.

The particulate monitoring brings several benefits, and meets the varied objectives and characteristics of each industrial application, such as: legal compliance, reduction of production lost and downtime of the process, scheduled maintenance, reducing operating costs and a longer life of the filter elements.
