The largest Intermach held so far in Joinville had more than 35 thousand visitors from Brazil and overseas and business perspectives of R$ 180 million in a one year period.
Intermach 2007 - The International Exhibition of Machines, Equipment, Automation and Services for the Metal Mechanical Industry - closed exceeding all expectations of the 450 exhibitors. In the five days of the fair, more than 35 thousand professionals visited the Wittich Freitag Megacenter, in Joinville (SC), from 12 Brazilian states (Ceará, Federal district, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Piauí, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Sergipe and São Paulo). Foreigners also visited Intermach from Germany, Chile, United States, France, Mexico and Portugal.

According to the Director of Messe Brazi, Luiz Roberto Lepeltier, this sixth Intermach - which was the largest held so far because of the Expoville expansion - will generate business to the tune of R$ 180 million for the participants over the next year. |
Intermach brought together 450 exhibitors from Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo. Among the sectors that were represented at the event were machine-tools, molds, welding systems, automation systems, internal transportation systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, 3D and integrated machines, components, accessories and auxiliary equipment, mechanical components, hydraulic components, pneumatic components, machine tools, software, metrology, hydraulic fluids and cutting fluids.
Good results for the exhibitors in 2007.

Many people are celebrating the positive results. Deb´Maq is one of the companies that had significant sales selling five machines to companies from the region, and according to the sales supervisor, Edson Soares, there is a possibility of selling 10 more machines sales in 30 days. In Santa Catarina Deb´Maq already supplies its equipment for companies such as Tupy, Tiger, Weg and Malwee. |
Besides the business, Intermach provided the opportunity to exchange experiences and offered many new contacts and sales opportunities. Atlas Máquinas received a large number of visitors. "Our results will be measured soon, but we noticed that the quality of the event is getting better every year", declared the Atlas Sales manager, Deusdedit Alcantara.
Taurus Wotan took part in Intermach for the first time, and was successful with its sales and futures contracts. The Taurus Southern Area Sales manager said that the company goals were reached by participating at the fair and he intends to return to the next Intermach.
To do business, the entrepreneurs rely a lot on the BRDE - Regional Development Bank for the Extreme South, that has the objective of obtaining credit lines or finance. According to the BRDE projects analyst, Rose Irene Souza Neves, the fair offered good expectations: more than 50 parties are interested in finance for small, medium and large companies, the value of which varies from 30 to 300 thousand reais for purchasing machines and equipment.
Sulcontrata grows with the expansion in the sector.
Also at this fair was the 35th Santa Catarina Outsourcing Fair. There are now 75 outsourcing companies, that seek opportunities for obtaining contacts for future business. The Santa Catarina Business and Outsourcing Exchange has been active for 30 years and it has 195 members, more than 65% of them are dedicated to the areas of automation, metal mechanics, metallurgy and machinery and equipment.
The president of the entity, Paulo Ayrton Buchmann, affirms that more than eight new companies already showed an interest in taking part in the next event, a number that represents a growth at each event. "Only this year the Santa Catarina Business and Outsourcing Exchange increased in size by 50%, we believe that with the growth in the sector over the coming years many companies will seek our services", Buchmann emphasized. Prezap, from Limeira/SP, is one of the member companies that sold six presses at Intermach.
The exchange of experience marked Cintec Mechanics and Automation 2007
Cintec Mechanics and Automation 2007 - Congress of Technological Innovation that ran as a parallel event to Intermach - closed this Friday, 14, and it achieved its main objective: to promote the exchange of experiences between companies, students, researchers and professionals from the area. "The three days of the Congress were marked by debates relating to technological innovation, including what is new in products, processes and techniques", said the representative of the organizing commission, Luiz Roberto Sniecikowiski, from the Education Society of Santa Catarina (Sociesc).

Speakers from renowned entities such as FGV, Volvo, USP, WEG and Usiminas, published their research together with French Hervé Delorme and the Portuguese Nuno Manuel Fernandes Alves, responsible for one of the four mini courses that also made up part of the event program.

Student Caroline Françolle who took part in Cintec, said that the event was positive because it stimulated "the access to knowledge of new production methods, besides the integration between professionals and, consequently, a wider version of the technological market."
