The Messe Brasil commercial team, responsible for marketing Intermach 2011, visits the Machinery Fair, May 11-15 in Sao Paulo, to strengthen contacts with exhibitors common to Intermach 2011. "The positive performance of the machinery and equipment sector in the first quarter of 2010 and the good momentum of the economy tend to increase company’s investments in events and actions to promote their brands. This should reflect positively on Intermach 2011 numbers," says Richard Spirandelli, Marketing Manager of Messe Brasil.

According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), industrial employment grew 0.7% in March compared to February and 2.4% above the same period in 2009. The machinery and equipment sector also grew by 0.7% compared to the previous month, totaling the opening of 1,622 jobs. Compared to the same period in 2009, the increase was 2.7%, which represents more than 6,336 people employed. The current officially registered workforce of professionals in the industry of machinery capital goods in March 2010 is 241,335 people.
